We work in partnership with clients, industry peers and research facilities to guide responsible development and find opportunities to enhance its positive impact.
We believe successful partnerships are built on trust and integrity. We see our clients, suppliers, communities and colleagues as our partners as we strive towards a more sustainable, healthier future.
Transforming our industry through research
Our research team helps clients understand how ESG issues drive market trends and affect demand and liquidity in our sector. Our award-winning data analytics team also provides important insight into the property world’s most challenging ESG issues. For example, the team helps clients map flood defences and identify land for affordable housing developments and public services.
We also need to consider human behaviour and social progress. By analysing shifts in human demographics and the behaviour of communities around the world, we provide holistic guidance for our clients and help them build effective solutions for long-term, sustainable growth.
Working with our supply chain partners
As a professional services business, our corporate supply chain is fairly low risk compared to some of our clients, who work in bigger, more complex arenas. Nevertheless, we do face reputational and operational impacts if we don’t identify or manage our ESG risks correctly.
We intend to set policies that govern our contractual activities and build a level of commitment with our suppliers. We’ll work with them to assess ESG risk within our supply chain and address any issues. We also aim to launch a supply chain ‘charter’ in 2024 to set out the principles for working with suppliers.
Using our ESG expertise to support clients and customers
Clients look to us for guidance on property related ESG issues. We advise on embedding responsible practices throughout the real estate lifecycle, while our research team offers insights on the measurable value investing in ESG offers clients.
We aim to lead our industry in addressing challenges like rising urbanisation, affordability, changing consumer preferences and ageing populations. We’ve already set some solutions in motion, such as mixed-income and mixed-use developments, and working with government and not-for-profit organisations to maximise land use.
