Kate is a capital markets consultant with over 10 years’ experience working on the acquisition and disposal of central London offices. Her specialism and focus is the City of London and surrounding sub-markets including the Southbank, Clerkenwell, Shoreditch, Aldgate and Midtown. Kate is a leader in ESG and how it impacts the capital markets specifically. In 2021, she completed the Business Sustainability Management course run by the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership and in June 2022 she passed ESG Investing course run by the CFA Institute.
Key deals:
1. The Cabot, 25 Cabot Square, E14 - Instructed by Hines to dispose of a recently redeveloped freehold Canary Wharf asset. Following a global marketing campaign and in the midst of the first Covid lockdown, the property was sold to LINK REIT for £380 million.
2. 30 Lombard Street, EC3 - Instructed on behalf of McKay Securities to dispose of a newly developed City Core asset securely let to St James Place and held long leasehold. Following a successful marketing campaign the property was acquired by German fund ReInvest for £76.5 million.
3. Adelphi, 1-11 John Adam Street, WC2 - Instructed by Blackstone to dispose of this iconic, landmark riverside asset. Following a global marketing campaign the property was sold to Ponte Gadea, the property investment arm of Amancio Ortega, for approximately £550 million.
4. Sixty London, 60 Holborn Viaduct, EC1 - Instructed by Hines, a market-making disposal of this state-of-the-art building located close to Farringdon station, let to Amazon for over 10 years with annual CPI-linked increases. The disposal led to a price of approximately £330 million reflecting a net initial yield of c.40 basis point premium versus prime City yield.
