November 09, 2022

Knight Frank is seeking offers in the region of £55m for Thornes House, an unbroken block of 51 luxury apartments, located in Nine Elms’ Embassy Quarter. An unbroken long leasehold of 244 years remains on the asset.

Thornes House comprises 10 one-bedroom, 34 two-bedroom, and 7 three-bedroom units that all benefit from outside space. Resident’s facilities include a 24-hour concierge, cinema, gym, and a residents-only garden. The building’s total gross internal area (GIA) spans 55,929 sq ft.

The scheme is situated within one of central London’s largest development zones, and benefits from being less than 500m from Nine Elms underground station and 800m from the recently launched and globally renowned Battersea Power Station development.

Harrison Collins, a Partner in the Residential Investments team at Knight Frank said: "Thornes House represents an exceptional Zone 1 investment opportunity. Nine Elms is quickly becoming one of London’s largest and fastest-growing residential, social and business hubs.

"The area is already home to 1,000 businesses that provide 25,000 local jobs, with a further 25,000 jobs set to be generated by new office, retail, restaurant and hotel openings over the coming years. High-quality, professionally-managed homes are extremely sought-after in Nine Elms and this demand will only continue to strengthen as the area builds on its landmark status as one of London’s greatest social hubs.

"As such, this is an excellent investment opportunity and we anticipate strong market interest as a result."
