_Cotswolds barns come up trumps for savvy buyers

Location, location, location is still the key factor for adding premium and a quick sale, especially if you can enjoy a view of your glorious outdoor space from an arm chair, dining room or even your bath.

Cotswold stone barn conversions generally have two large openings providing full height windows to take in often achingly beautiful Cotswold landscapes. Unconverted barns around the area are now as rare as hens’ teeth but the charms of an established conversion are not lost on the savvy buyer. 

Living in a barn conversion is something of an idyllic dream for many of us; rustic stone walls, ancient timbering, Cotswold slate roofs, rough-hewn from the earth that surrounds it with nothing but fields and trees at every vantage point.

They are sought after; they offer the best of both worlds, traditional period characteristics with vast walls of glass to offer a unique contemporary home; period charm comfortably accommodating modern styling.

The idyllic chocolate box cottage or Georgian rectory will capture the popular imagination for evermore, however converted Cotswold barns sell very well and often create passion amongst buyers who looking for the space and often glorious locations.   

Some of the more sympathetically restored barns actually enhance the landscape they sit in. Where respect is given for an old-fashioned concept blended with cutting edge design, comfort, light and tradition merge happily to provide exceptional living spaces.
